Stiegl

A friend commented this weekend on how Stiegl has become another hipster beer. I myself have noticed this German-style pilsner, which was often served in higher-end establishments, now being served in rock clubs. I have always found Stiegl to be an ok German-style pilsner, but would never order one with excitement.

The body is a straw-coloured one with a very foamy white head. the aroma is grassy or straw-like. The flavour is malty and the finish is moderate. My only problems with Stiegl are that the flavour has too much of a thick creamy taste to it and I find it a tad too sweet. If you’re into malty beers, however, this beer brewed in Salzburg, Austria is worth a shot.
