Creemore Altbier Collaboration Ale

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Creemore Springs has produced what it says is its first ever ale, a German-style altbier. The first thing you’ll notice is the label or can. The beige hue is gone for an all deep blue (quite pretty actually).

The beer pours an amber colour with a thick peach head. The aroma is sweet and malty, but a little faint. The taste is the beautiful part of this excellent beer. the flavour is sweet and malty with hints of spice and nuttiness. The finish is a perfect roasted hop one. The flavour and finish are well balanced.  This is well worth the $2.80 for a 500 ml can at the LCBO.
