Are Molson Canadian Cold Shots good?

Molson Canadian 6.0 Cold Shots have been around for a few years. They are sold in mini 250 ml cans and come in four-packs at The Beer Store or LCBO. The 6.0 means they’re 6.0% ABV. Keeping up with the theme of “does this beer suck as badly as everyone says?” we’re going to try it out. I’d leave the job up to the intern, but alas, Tales from the Beer Truck does not have an intern.

The aroma is more malty and the smell of alcohol is a little more present than Molson Canadian. The body is slightly darker and has a fizzy head that disappears quickly. The flavour is a little maltier and has a bit of an alcohol after taste. Yeah, this is gross. To paraphrase one commenter on Ratebeer, it’s marketed to people who want to get hammered before a rock show and its can is easily concealable in a denim jacket. Now that I think about it, I’ve seen this done many times. This isn’t a beer to sip and enjoy. I think I’m too old for this one.
