The Grid’s Ultimate 2-4

The Grid, a free Toronto weekly culture-based magazine, came out with their list yesterday of the ultimate Canadian 2-4. It can be found here. A lot of these beers I have not tried. I found Old Credit Amber Ale to be rather terrible (review here) so that was an interesting choice. But The Grid’s list of 24 beers includes everything from small micro-breweries to the big corporate breweries and attempts to touch every type of beer out there. I especially got a kick out of their review of Labatt Maximum Ice (included on the list):

“Feeling old? What better way to get your groove back than to indulge in this perennial favourite, from those under-age, desperate-to-get-drunk days. It’s still the smoothest gutter beer around.”
