Headstrong Pale Ale

I reviewed a beer here from Utica, New York’s Big Hole Brewing Company called Headstrong Black and Tan. My review was less than favourable. However, their pale ale is quite flavourful and quite good. Its body is a deep copper with a frothy white head. The aroma and flavour are very hoppy, though the flavour has some sweet malt in it. The finish is flavourful, but very hoppy and bitter. The finish is almost like that of grapefruit. It really is a good beer, even though many of the company’s other products might be subpar. The company also exports the (terrible) discount brand known as Yankee Jim.
